What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Relations/SEG Development Account Executive position at Advantage Federal Credit Union?
This ideal candidate for the Account Executive position is directly responsible in Advantage's efforts to retain member employee companies (SEG's, Select Employee Groups) by deepening, growing and maintaining quality relationships. This person will also be expected to cultivate new inroads within our member groups. This is achieved through strategic account management, presenting educational materials, and presenting the benefits of the credit union membership. This
person must have a solid knowledge of the business community, a sales background would be ideal and understand the Select Employee Group relationships that we cultivate here at Advantage Federal Credit Union.
This individual must be comfortable promoting the credit union's offerings, have a basic knowledge of banking and the role that credit unions play in the community, and be able to present and communicate to managers, as
well as employees of member companies and community organizations.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
>Cultivate and grow strategic relationships within our SEG’s (Select Employee Groups) by continuously imparting the value of Advantage to the organization and its employees.
>Deliver a variety of educational, product/service and enrollment-oriented presentations to SEG’s. These may be administered virtually and/or in-person.
>Entertain existing members within the SEG’s and represent Advantage in all business settings, as well as attend and participate in SEG and community events with business development potential.
>Work with marketing to develop and execute member-specific strategies to deepen and strengthen business relationships/member relationships and drive membership growth and retention.
>Travel to client locations for face-to-face meetings with company representatives, conduct benefit fairs and deliver employee benefit presentations.
>Collaborate with Advantage Branch Managers to maintain employee group relationships. This includes identifying and executing member company affiliated sponsorship opportunities in support of the community engagement strategy.
>Regularly work with Marketing Department staff and work in a collaborative manner to support promotional efforts and SEG community engagement activities.
>Be a Board member or committee member on a minimum of one of our employee groups or partners.
>Become knowledgeable about Advantage’s products, services and value proposition to employers.
>Consistently grow and foster a favorable company image.
>Provide weekly and monthly activity reports to the Vice President of Marketing & Public Relations.
>Monitor and report on credit union industry trends and competitors’ activities.
>Provide exceptional member service in a professional manner.
>Performs other job related duties as assigned.

- Computer proficiency in Windows Operating Systems: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook.
- Proven sales and/or account management capabilities or equivalent experience.
- Strong ability to communicate at all levels within an organization, including senior managers and executives with tact and diplomacy.
- Must have the ability to manage many employer groups, and be able to complete projects in a timely fashion.
- Must be a self-starter.
