Logistics Analyst

The Logistics Analyst plays a crucial role in optimizing shipping operations and ensuring compliance with established logistics protocols. This position involves conducting daily audits and reporting on outbound shipments and carrier billing details using logistics software and Excel.

Responsibilities:

· Daily audits and reporting of outbound shipments.

· Daily audits of carrier billing detail through logistics software or via Excel reports.

· Key point of contact for invoice issues requiring reviews of reports and system data.

· Work closely with billing Team regarding deadlines and carrier disputes.

· Interpret carrier, shipping and freight rules.

· Full understanding of Rate Logic.

· Audit client shipping matrix and rules to ensure proper shipping methods are used.

· Maintaining documents to support and participate in internal and external audits pertaining to warehouse shipping.

· May act as the lead interface with client teams and V.P of Logistics in matters related to shipping.

· Establish and maintain process procedures for logistics auditing and reporting.

· Assist with shipping and freight improvement functions.

· Present results to management and assist with investigations.

· Assist with other Logistics Functions, Shipping and Transportation back-up.

· Other logistics-related duties as needed.

Requirements:

• The ability to work independently and in a team within office and warehouse environments.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of small parcel shipping and carrier rules.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Oracle preferred), Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Capable of using information and reports to improve department processes, services and efficiency.
• Rate Logic comprehension.
• Extensive experience in creating and manipulating Excel spreadsheets.
• Understanding of accounting acronyms.
• Must be punctual and regular attendance is required.
• Ability to understand and follow company policies.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• ProShip knowledge is preferred.
• English required. Bi-lingual a plus.

US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.20 per hour
