Key Responsibilities
- Record patients’ medical histories with accuracy.
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
- Observe and evaluate patients under treatment to identify progress and monitor for medication side effects.
- Track patients’ conditions, including fluid intake and output, and maintain comprehensive patient charts.
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing and eating.
- Administer prescribed medications, injections, and basic wound care while providing emotional support as needed.
- Proficient in accurately documenting patient medical histories.
- Strong ability to take and record vital measurements.
- Excellent observational skills for monitoring patient health and medication effects.
- Competent in assisting patients with essential daily activities.
- Knowledgeable in administering medications and performing basic medical tasks.
- Empathetic approach in providing emotional and psychological support to patients.
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Missouri or Illinois.
- No prior experience in pediatric or private duty nursing necessary, but a commitment to learning is essential.
