Key Responsibilities
- Accurately document patients' medical histories.
- Measure and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
- Monitor and observe patients to track progress and detect side effects of medications.
- Maintain patient charts, detailing conditions, fluid intake, and output.
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as eating and bathing.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including injections and wound care.
- Offer emotional and psychological support to patients when necessary.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Competence in performing medical tasks and administering medications.
- Compassionate approach to patient care.
- Keen observational skills for monitoring patient conditions.
- Attention to detail with robust record-keeping capabilities.
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse license in Missouri.
- No prior pediatric or private duty nursing experience is necessary, although a willingness to learn is essential.
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
