What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Lending Officer position at Advantage One Credit Union?
Advantage One Credit Union in Brownstown, MI is seeking a dynamic, experienced professional to be the next Chief Lending Officer. The CLO will be reporting to the CEO and will be an integral part of the strategic planning process for the credit union’s business initiatives.
The CLO will be required, but not limited to :
- Participate in the credit union’s long- and short-term strategic planning
- Determine the Loan Department’s strategic plans to align with the credit union’s business plan
- Establish and ensure the implementation of target goals for the department
- Communicate credit union goals to ensure clear understanding of rules, regulations, requirements and expectations
- Create the budget for the loan department and track performance on an ongoing basis for success
- Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures in accordance with credit union goals and strategies among all departments
- Provide oversight and direction in the area of lending
- Provide mentoring, coaching and training to support and develop managers and staff
- Research and evaluate the profitability of new loan products
- Keep abreast of changes in the industry and latest trends in lending to react to changes in a way that maintains competitiveness
- Work with loan manager on issues to prevent loss and optimize efficiency for the credit union
- Represent and promote the credit union at external functions
