Advantage Sales and Supply Co., LLC, is seeking an experienced, energetic National Sales Manager. This is a remote work opportunity.
Job Summary:
As a National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and acting as a single point of contact for national accounts. In this key role, you will increase our company's market share and grow a national account customer base. You may also be assigned large projects or be tasked with prospecting large projects.
As our primary contact for nationally important large customers, you will leverage your sales skills and savvy to completely understand and anticipate the needs of these key clients and address them promptly and professionally. In addition, your strategic vision will guide our growth and drive your career achievement. This position requires heavy collaboration with the Regional Management team to communicate customer pricing, needs, special requirements and expectations.
Essential Functions:
Maintain, grow and develop relationships with National Accounts and their subsidiary companies as assigned to you
Prepare and present customer presentations, product trainings and other meeting materials as needed.
Monitor and prospect large projects involving National Account customers; send leads to branch sales representatives Regional Management as required
Keep up to date on any changes happening with our customers and the competition
Prospect and qualify new strategic accounts from existing branch accounts, dormant or non-customer accounts, including competitor accounts
Utilize ERP Reporting and other Sales Management tools to increase productivity
Support the overall efforts of and closely partner with Outside Sales Representatives and Regional Managers, to drive national account revenue and branch revenue, in addition to maintaining a High Value Target list of potential Large Accounts at all times
Plan and attend trade shows
Other duties assigned as needed
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in business or marketing
5 years of sales experience, preferably in branch or sales management, with large account experience or Sales Representative internal company experience
Current valid driver's license with a safe driving record and the ability to travel 70% of the time within assigned territory
Strong customer service orientation
Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation and research skills
Ability to work independently highly motivated to succeed even when setbacks occur
Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to use technology tools to increase performance efficiency
Familiarity with Project tracking tools
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel frequently, including air travel and driving long distances, to visit clients, attend meetings, and manage teams across different regions. This may require walking or standing for extended periods during trade shows, client visits, or fieldwork.
Ability to operate a computer, phone, and other office equipment for extended periods. Must be able to perform fine motor tasks like typing, writing, and data entry.
Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons, events, or when travel schedules demand, sometimes including evenings and weekends.
Occasionally lifting or carrying marketing materials, samples, or equipment (up to 25 pounds) when preparing for events or client presentations.
Must have adequate vision to read reports, work with spreadsheets, analyze sales data, and use a computer for extended periods. Corrective lenses are permitted.
Strong verbal and auditory communication skills required to conduct presentations, phone calls, and face-to-face client meetings. Ability to speak clearly and hear customers or team members during meetings and calls.
