What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Specialist - ERP Project Support position at Advantage Technical?
- Assist in implementation, configuration, and data migration to the new ERP.
- Provide accurate and timely financial data to the external consulting firm.
- Assist in analyzing current accounting processes and identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to ensure smooth data migration and system integration.
- Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and analysis.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and reduce manual tasks.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new accounting procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Previous accounting experience in a multi-unit retail environment, preferably in the restaurant industry
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Restaurant365, SAP, NetSuite) and POS systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Experience with data migration and system conversions
- Knowledge of financial reporting and analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- IT savvy and comfortable with learning new software and systems
