CNC Machinist
Woburn MA
Pay Rate: 30-34 an Hour
Loading raw materials, mounting fixtures, and aligning cutting tools on the CNC machine based on project requirements.
CNC programming:
Writing and editing CNC programs using CAD/CAM software to define the cutting paths for the desired part geometry.
Operating CNC machines:
Monitoring machine operation during the machining process, adjusting parameters as needed to maintain precision.
Quality control:
Performing in-process inspections using measuring tools to ensure parts meet tolerances and specifications.
Troubleshooting:
Identifying and resolving machine malfunctions or programming errors
Maintenance:
Performing basic maintenance tasks on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance
Preferred Competencies:
- Strong understanding of CNC machining principles, including G-code programming, cutting tool selection, and machine capabilities.
- Ability to interpret complex measurements and calculations related to machining
- Accurately interpreting technical drawings (blueprints) and specifications
- Diagnosing and resolving issues related to machine operation and programming
- Maintaining high precision and quality standards in production
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for program creation
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma
