What You'll Do
- Own the development and maintenance of electrical design documentation, including schematics, specifications, and test protocols in alignment with IEC 60601/80601-2-77 and FDA/ISO regulatory standards.
- Lead electrical verification and validation activities, ensuring robust test planning, execution, and performance testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical design issues throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Specify and design electrical hardware for next-gen robotic systems-supporting both processing and sensing functions.
- Collaborate with Embedded and QA teams to support regulatory submissions and system compliance.
- Drive component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout using Altium Designer.
- Develop production testers and board-level diagnostics tools.
- Apply knowledge in EMI/EMC/ESD shielding, flex circuit design, power electronics, and BLDC motor control.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical systems design
- Familiarity with medical device development (IEC 60601 or 80601-2-77)
- Proficiency in Altium Designer
- Deep understanding of common communication protocols: SPI, I2C, USB, CAN
- Experience with high-speed signal routing, impedance control, and flex circuit design
- Hands-on with power electronics and BLDC motor control
- Comfortable with Python or LabVIEW for test development
- Skilled in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and design for manufacturability
- Bonus points for experience supporting products through regulatory approval and into production
