Advantage Technical is excited to offer a direct hire opportunity for a Director of Engineering and System Design in Newington, NH, with a prestigious telecommunications company.
Salary Range: $165k - $200k per year
As the Director, you will lead the System Design and Project Engineering department, overseeing a team of engineers responsible for preparing technical solutions in response to customer requests (RFQs, ITTs, BEs). Reporting to the Senior Director of System Design and Product Management, you'll interface with customers to gather system requirements and coordinate internal activities for developing the overall technical solution. You'll also supervise the development of technical documentation to support new system bids and drive the implementation of contracted projects.

Responsibilities:
- Provide support for Sales and Project Management teams
- Present SubCom technologies and products to customers
- Collaborate with external customer representatives
- Work closely with internal teams, including R&D, System Design, Implementation, and Customer Solutions Partners
Qualifications:
- M.S. Degree in Engineering or related field required
- Experience with long haul terrestrial or submarine optical fiber communication systems
- At least 10 years of experience in R&D of optical communication systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills preferred
