What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Controls Engineer with IT Experience position at Advantage Technical?
We are seeking a Process Controls Engineer with strong IT experience to support the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Aspen IP.21 Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, configure, and maintain Aspen IP.21 systems, including Lifecycle Management of the PIMS Architecture.
- Provide end-user support, including basic IP.21 user training, development of reports, Excel add-ins, trends, and Aspen graphics, data access and modifications to Aspen IP.21 configurations (adding/modifying tags), and develop and maintain project documentation, including design specifications and reports.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Ensure projects meet regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and apply new technologies to improve processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 10 years of relevant experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment).
- Strong knowledge of PIMS (Aspen IP.21 preferred).
- Experience leading engineering projects and initiatives.
- Process Controls experience (monitoring and integration) is a plus.
- Experience integrating PIMS systems with various OT systems (e.g., automation/controls).
- Experience working with OPC communication (preferred).
- SQL experience is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
