We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Title Insurance Processor to join our team. This role involves handling all aspects of the title process, ensuring smooth and efficient transactions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for title curative work, preparing title commitments, balancing Closing Disclosures (CDs), and acting as a liaison between realtors, lenders, buyers, and sellers. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Title Curative: Identify and resolve title issues, including clearing liens, judgments, and other encumbrances to ensure a clean title.
- Typing Title Commitments: Accurately prepare and issue title commitments based on property title searches and examination reports.
- Balancing Closing Disclosures (CDs): Work closely with lenders and closing agents to prepare, review, and balance CDs in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Communication & Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact between all parties, including realtors, lenders, buyers, sellers, and attorneys, ensuring seamless transactions.
- Document Preparation & Review: Assist in drafting and reviewing closing documents, including deeds, affidavits, and settlement statements.
- Order Processing: Open and process new title orders, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and recorded accurately.
- Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure all files comply with state and federal regulations and company policies.
- Escrow Support: Work with escrow officers to facilitate smooth closings and disbursements.
- Customer Service: Provide professional, timely support to clients, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in title processing, title insurance, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in title software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and closing platforms.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve title issues efficiently.
- Organization & Time Management: Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of state-specific real estate laws and title regulations.
- Experience with ALTA best practices and TRID regulations.
- Familiarity with underwriting guidelines and title insurance policies.
