Job Title: Inside Sales Representative
Location(s): Ottawa, IL – Onsite
Compensation: $24.00 - $29.00 before commissions and bonus – Hourly Non-Exempt

Advantech has an immediate opening for an Inside Sales Representative (ISR). The ideal sales candidate must be a self-starter, highly motivated, great communicator, team player who is interested in technology and today’s computing trends.
Responsibilities:
- Achieves IIoT Technology solutions sales quota, growth and KPI’s in assigned territory and product group/market for the assigned primary products.
- Develops new sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations.
- Soliciting new accounts.
- Responds to new prospect inquiries, campaign leads, and designated marketing campaigns.
- Responsible for follow-up, tracking and maintaining records in Salesforce for Marketing Qualified Leads to Sales Qualified Leads and then turning those leads into real revenue.
- Works with Key Account sales teams to develop large potential accounts.
- Develops accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features
- Maintains a reasonable level of working knowledge of responsible products and application
- Becomes proficient with internal software tools (Salesforce.com and eQuotation) used in quoting and customer tracking
- Recommend enhancements to products based on market feedback.
- Work with Marketing Department on related marketing campaigns or activities
- Complete special assignments or tasks from management
Qualifications:
- Technical degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2 years of sales or related market/business experience. Relative experience with technical Industrial Automation or IoT Technology sales is a plus
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, take initiative and manage time effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills, high energy and positive attitude
- Able to work alone or as part of a team, and desire to win
- CRM experience (preferably Salesforce)
- Strong interpersonal communication, social, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of all aspects of PC components Internal / External and Operating Systems
- Working knowledge of Connectivity products i.e. Wired and Wireless, and Automation IO products including their Communication Protocols is a plus.
