Job Title: Key Account Manager
Location(s): Irvine, CA
Compensation: $100,000 – $125,000 - OTE
About this position:
Advantech is a leader in the Industrial PC market. We have an immediate opening within our key account sales team as a Key Account Manager. The ideal candidate will be driven and self-motivated, exhibiting the ability to break into new accounts and manage new projects to closure.
Responsibilities:
- Drive new customer engagements in target verticals such as Edge AI, Networking/Security, and Industrial servers
- Expand current opportunities at revenue shipping accounts.
- Coordinate efforts internal across international teams with technical, business, and executive inputs
- Ability to drive Value to customer engagements by crafting solutions selling with hardware, service, and business/logistics aspects.
- Develop customer relationships and manage key accounts.
- Negotiate various types of contracts.
- Work in a fast-paced, result-driven environment
Qualifications:
- Technical background to understand and articulate on a high level various embedded computing solutions (motherboards, SBCs, modules, SSDs, IPCs, servers, network appliances, switches and IoT solutions).
- A successful track record of selling complex hardware solutions to OEM customers.
- Capacity to manage a mix of strategic and proactive account activities, having demonstrated the ability of uncovering, qualifying, developing, and closing new accounts.
- Professional, detail-oriented and coachable with polished verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Extremely proactive, highly organized, with proven ability to multi-task in a challenging environment and keep accurate pipeline and forecast updated for management.
- Self-starter, team player, positive attitude and the ability to perform with high levels of autonomy and self-direction.
- Customer-centric, consultative and a passion for excellence in sales and service
- A BS/BA technical degree or similar fields preferred.

- Previous experience applying partners, channels, and alliances to enhance sales process
- Consistent track record of new business development and overachieving sales targets with prospects and customers
