The Quality Control Specialist ensures efficient management of manufacturing processes, including planning, quality assurance, and resource optimization. It will also ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality production, by reducing waste, enhancing competitiveness, and satisfying customer demands.
Essential Functions:
- Carries out inspections and testing on materials, products, and equipment to guarantee that they are up to the relevant requirements and standards.
- Does data analysis and interpretation to locate and fix quality issues.
- Executes the process of developing and putting into effect methods and policies for quality control to guarantee conformity with industry standards and norms.
- Works together with other departments to discover and address problems connected to quality and to enhance the overall quality management process.
- Ensures that records of inspections, test results, and other quality control data are kept accurately and comprehensively.
- Provides management, production teams, and other stakeholders with information regarding quality issues and concerns.
- Monitors the production processes and provides suggestions to enhance the work's quality and efficiency.
- Instructs the production teams and other staff for various processes and methods of quality control and maintains fabrication training records.
- Keeps Pre-Fab and Post-Fab NRFT (not right first time) trackers up to date and provides regular reports on findings and problem areas.
- Leads red bin tracker implementation and reporting.
- Acts as point person for all work order requests, verifies work order request has the needed and adequate information. Alerts production of new requests and deadlines.
- Accurately input data related to production, inventory, and quality control in relevant systems.
- Monitor and track scrap inventory, ensuring proper documentation and reporting to minimize waste.
- Identify opportunities for improving data management processes and production efficiency and collaborate with the team to implement changes.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED or five to seven years’ related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with quality control.
- Microsoft application fluency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and Teams.
Working conditions
- This position will work at Advantic’s Headquarters and spend at least 80% of their time in a shop and warehouse environment. Minimal travel – less than 25% can be expected. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

The salary range for this position is $22.50 - $30.00
