Job Overview Summary
The HRIS Analyst will be the functional expert for the organization's HRIS system and will ensure data integrity and accuracy for all Human Capital Management (HCM) transactions, procedures, report writing, and processes. The HRIS Analyst is responsible for the effective design/configuration, implementation, communication, maintenance, compliance and reporting of employee data and ongoing management of the HRIS/Payroll/Recruiting System, working closely with other HRIS team members.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides support for all HRIS functions including report generation, system maintenance, research and resolution of issues, and compliance activities
- Oversees maintenance and functionality of our HCM systems and tools
- Responds to and resolves HRIS issues promptly and accurately, clearly communicating the status of support requests through resolution
- Oversees vendor carrier connections and troubleshoots issues related to data transmission and scheduling
- Participates and leads system requirements gathering, design, testing and implementation for new modules and functionality
- Develops and maintains standard and custom reports to meet recurring and ad-hoc requirements of HR, cross departmental management, and staff
- Ensures compliance with internal control standards and regulatory requirements
- Develops and maintains Human Capital Management (HCM) solution standards and controls to ensure data integrity, security, and functionality
- Designs and implements processes to maintain data integrity. Conducts routine audits throughout the year
- Evaluates, tests, and implements HCM systems enhancements and upgrades as well as analyzes HR processes and makes recommendations for improvements through the use of technology
- Supports HCM release notes review, testing, communication, and deployment
- Provides timely and concise communication to cross-functional teams on relevant mandatory and elective system updates
- Work under the guidance of the HRIS Manager for overall system design and implementations
- Serves as a liaison between HR, IT, and Finance/Account and other functions for design changes and implementations
- In partnership with HR team, develops and implements self-service workflows in HCM for people-related transactions
- Works closely with HRIS Manager to anticipate future organizational needs and ensures HCM solutions are in place to support those
- Maintains knowledge of HCM trends, new developments for current and other HCM providers
Location
This role is open to candidates working in Columbia, MD or remotely in the United States.
Basic Qualifications
- 3 years’ experience managing HRIS systems, including global workforce, in an HRIS role
- Minimum of 2 years UKG experience
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and other IT web-based tools
- 2 years’ experience in Cognos BI report building
- Comfortable working in a geographically distributed team-based environment

Preferred Qualifications
- BS in Computer science, business, information systems, or related field preferred
- 2 years’ general HR experience preferred
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Sit or stand for extended periods of time at stationary workstation
- Regularly carry, raise, and lower objects of up to 10 Lbs.
- Learn and comprehend basic instructions

- Verbal communication; listening and understanding, responding, and speaking

The base salary range for this role is $50,900 - $86,600. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience and may vary from the amounts listed above. This position may also be eligible for a variable bonus in addition to base salary as well as health coverage, paid holidays, and other benefits.
