Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage the shipping and receiving processes, including receiving, verifying, and transacting incoming goods, and preparing outgoing shipments.
- Oversee a team of two direct reports: a shipping and receiving clerk and a laborer/forklift operator.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production and commodities, to ensure smooth workflow.
- Drive process improvements and cost savings through KPI tracking and analysis, focusing on dock-to-stock time, on-time delivery percentages, and freight spend.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Experience in a manufacturing facility setting to understand process flow.
- 5-7 years of experience working with an ERP system (D365 preferred, but not required).
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Experience with KPIs (dock-to-stock time, on-time delivery, freight spend).
- Ability to manage invoices.
- Openness to backup work for pick pack supervisor.
Ideal Level of Experience:
- Early career professional with the right work ethic is ideal.
- Preferred but not required; 3 years of experience in a relevant role (supervisor or manager)
- Experience in a manufacturing setting is desired.
- Experience with ERP systems and KPIs is essential.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with a team.
