Human Resources Manager - 4014

Advent Talent Group is looking for an HR Manager to oversee employee benefits, ensure compliance with labor laws, and manage HR operations for a transportation company. Key responsibilities include handling open enrollment, reconciling insurance invoices, maintaining employee records, managing terminations, addressing concerns, and supervising HR staff. The role also supports payroll audits, performance management, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and align with company goals.

Overview:

• Position Type: Direct Hire
• Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Salary: $75,000 - $85,000
• Location: On-site in Big Lake or Elk River, MN

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage employee benefits programs (health, dental, retirement) and lead the open enrollment process in collaboration with third-party administrators.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (ACA, COBRA, OSHA, FMLA) and handle accurate reconciliation of insurance vendor invoices.
• Manage employee records, including documentation for terminations, audits, and conduct exit interviews.
• Address employee concerns and manage unemployment claims and workers' compensation cases.
• Supervise the HR Generalist and assist with payroll audits, performance reviews, job postings, and day-to-day HR operations.
• Contribute to HR strategy, improving processes and systems to align with company goals and enhance departmental efficiency.

Qualifications:

• 4 years of experience in HR management or a similar role; prior experience in benefits administration and compliance is essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Advanced degree preferred).
• Strong expertise in benefits administration and HR compliance (ACA, COBRA, OSHA, FMLA, etc.)
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• High ethical standards, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Technical proficiency in HR tools and systems (prior experience with HR software is a plus).
