The Role You’ll Contribute
Provides leadership and management for the trauma service at the facility to assure optimal care for injured patients while meeting regulatory requirements from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the American College of Surgeons. Responsible for daily operations of the trauma program and the achievement of standards related to quality care, patient satisfaction, and fiscally responsible care delivery.

The Role You’ll Contribute
Provides leadership and management for the trauma service at the facility to assure optimal care for injured patients while meeting regulatory requirements from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the American College of Surgeons. Responsible for daily operations of the trauma program and the achievement of standards related to quality care, patient satisfaction, and fiscally responsible care delivery.
The Value You’ll Bring To The Team
- Oversees and manages day-to-day operations for the Trauma program.
- Works collaboratively with nursing and other patient care departments in managing trauma patient/family care processes.
- Oversees trauma performance improvement and patient safety activities in conjunction with the Trauma Medical Director.
- Oversees and assists with preparation of monthly trauma performance improvement committee meetings.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's in Nursing Required
- 5 trauma program, emergency and/or critical care nursing experience Required
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support American Heart Association Required
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course Required or ATCN - Advanced Trauma Care Nurse Required
- Master's in Nursing Preferred
- 2 previous leadership experience Preferred
- Experience with trauma registry and coding Preferred
