Schedule: PRN - MUST be available between 6 A and 11P on a PRN basis - shift differential for hours works mostly PM

The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for facilitating telephone and PA system communications for AdventHealth and associates.
The value you’ll bring to the team
- Receive and relay incoming and outgoing telephone calls for the facility.
- Provide directory information, transfer calls as appropriate.
- Enter facility directory information into the database.
- Make general and emergency announcements over the facility’s PA system.
- Handle the facility paging system and the beeper system.
- Operate an electronic switchboard to route incoming calls and to place outgoing calls.
- Able to place long distance calls and conference calls as needed.
- Provide directory information to internal and external inquirers.
- Maintain current listing of all facility telephone numbers and extensions. Update the database as needed.
- Maintain current list of all beeper numbers; makes additions or changes as needed.
- Maintain a daily list of all facility staff on-call; including home phone numbers and beeper numbers readily available.
- Knowledgeable of all departments and services available in the facility.
- Knowledgeable of emergency codes to be used over the PA system.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Clear and precise speaking abilities required.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing required
