Job Summary :
The Marketing & Communications Specialist is a vital member of the marketing and communications team with responsibility for digital marketing efforts including web design, e-communications (both internal and external), and management of both the external website and employee Intranet. The Marketing & Communications Specialist oversees inventory of all AdventHealth Shawnee Mission (AHSM) marketing materials and works closely with the Director of Marketing and team to ensure adherence to brand standards. This individual also manages and coordinates physician directory updates for both online and print, works closely with SMHs approved vendor on promotional items and apparel, and assists the graphic designer on the management of AHSMs digital asset management tool, BrandHub.
The Marketing & Communications Specialist is responsible for the execution of internal communication tactics including regularly scheduled Town Hall meetings and provides support to the Human Resources Team on associate recognition efforts including the annual banquet.
This individual must be a creative, self-motivator with excellent communication skills. Agency experience and familiarity with Adobe Suite is a plus.
You Will Be Responsible For :
This individual must be a creative, self-motivator with excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Support the communication needs of organizational strategic initiatives and department requests through effective writing, planning, coordination, design and execution, monitoring project deadlines for consistent delivery
Create materials to advance strategic initiatives and systemwide internal communications, while following AdventHealth graphic standards and policies, keeping key messages consistent and standardized, escalating risks to supervisor and department leaders as appropriate
Write clearly and informatively, edit work for spelling and grammar, adapt writing style to meet need
Oversee creation of internal video content, including planning, shooting, editing, distribution and managing external video contractors (up to 20% of overall job)
Serve as web coordinator managing AdventHealth Connect homepage and SharePoint intranet for AdventHealth Shawnee Mission
Develop and distribute two weekly employee newsletters
Analyze effectiveness of internal communications campaigns via reporting, data analysis and stakeholder interviews
Support event planning, coordination and logistics for in-person and virtual employee Town Halls
Execute monthly Microsoft Teams Live employee updates
Oversee local inventory of AdventHealth marketing and promotional materials
Assists in the development of advertising, publications, signage, internet / Intranet and other content creation for hospital projects and services of the organization
Qualifications
What You Will Need :
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED :
Microsoft Word and Excel, Windows, typing / word processing
Strong writing and editorial skills required.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), flexibility and adaptability to change a must
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
Bachelors Degree in communications, marketing, public relations or related field

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED :
Experience writing in a healthcare or large organization environment
Experience in strategic / change management communications
Experience in video editing and filming
