POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is represented by the CNA. Responsible for the pre and post operative/procedure care for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with a variety of health care needs and disease processes. Care includes technical skills, equipment, assessment, pre and post education and discharge in a fast-paced environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Has excellent observation, good nursing judgment/critical thinking, and good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with multiple tasks in a team setting utilizing interpersonal, organizational and prioritizing skills. Able to supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel commensurate with their scope of practice. Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligations
Education and Work Experience:
- Associate's degree: Required
- Bachelor's degree: Preferred
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing: Required
- Minimum of one year experience in pre- and post op- diagnostic cath lab: Preferred
- Minimum 6 months experience in medical surgical nursing in last 2 years: Preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
- California RN License: Required
- BLS: Required
- ACLS: Required
- PALS: Required
- Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Course completion with a passing score: Required
ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
