LOCATION SUMMARY:
Located in Templeton amongst the oak trees, Adventist Health Twin Cities has been serving northern San Luis Obispo County since 1977. Comprised of a 122-bed acute care facility, our team provides exceptional care in emergency medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics, digestive disorders, wound care, and various medical, surgical and outpatient services. Locals enjoy weekly farmers markets in downtown Templeton, farm-to-fork dining, beautiful landscapes for hiking and biking, and beach days just fifteen minutes away at Cambria and Morro Bay.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a union-based role represented by the CNA. Perform the professional functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. Coordinate, manage, provide and delegate patient care. Responsible for meeting the established Standards of Nursing Practice and promoting cooperation among the health care team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Work Experience:
- Graduate of a school of nursing: Required
- Basic computer skills: Required
- 1 year of recent acute care RN experience: Required
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current California RN license: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association: Required
- NRP: Required within 6 months of new hire or transfer
- ACLS: Required within 6 months of new hire or transfer
- Novice, or new to L&D RN’s will take the AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring two-day course during first 6-8 months of L&D orientation
