Job Summary:
Assists with the implementation of simulation activities in the training of healthcare professionals. Manages daily operations such as equipment and supply inventory, and coordinates the training of staff, physicians, and other customers on the use of simulation equipment and principles of simulation learning. Facilitates community partnerships and the integration of inter-professional simulation activities. Ensures the collection of data and analysis to evaluate utilization of resources and student learning outcomes and assists with other special projects or initiatives in the use of various simulation modalities. Reaches out to community partners and develops income generating projects as part of the business development initiative of the Simulation Center. Supervises technicians within the simulation department.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Master's Degree: Preferred
- Five years' healthcare experience: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) American Heart Association: Required
Facility Specific License/Certifications:
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required
- Prevention and Management of Violent Behavior (PVMB) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI): Required
Essential Functions:
- Monitors market programs to ensure practices lead to a safe and healthy work environment for staff.
- Assists in the review of operation and capital budget process.
- Identifies and implements opportunities for improvement and innovation in curriculum, instructional technologies, and operational systems.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
