What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk/Warehouseman position at Adventist Media Ministries?
Job Summary
Responsible for including, but not limited to, making lesson groupings as other needed things as directed. May also pick orders.
Authority & Accountability:
Authority as delegated by the Warehouse Assistant Director and Manager of Voice of Prophecy.
Essential Job Functions:
Inventory and Warehousing:
· Put together Bible lessons.
· Store product in appropriate locations.
· Keep shelves orderly and neat.
· Participate in yearly physical inventory count if needed.
· Must always work in a safe manner.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Keep packaging supplies filled – boxes, envelopes, etc. as needed.
· Prepare pallets of material for events.
· Load and unload trucks.
· Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
· Contribute to a culture of workplace safety.
· Fulfill other related responsibilities and duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills, and Complexity of duties:
· Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
· Experience: Some work history in similar environment preferable
· Membership: Member in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church abiding by its beliefs and values.
· Skills, scope, and complexity of duties:
o Knowledge of warehouse equipment; some fork-lift and pallet jack.
o Knowledge of safety protocols.
o Ability to exercise direction, independent judgment, make decisions, and assume responsibility.
o Good personal relationship skills.
o Understand or be willing to receive training on a continual basis.
o Flexibility to adapt to urgent projects or unusual situations.

Workplace Conditions
· General working conditions at a climate-controlled warehouse, office and production studio with minimal outdoor activities.
· Constant interruptions while attempting to complete tasks.
· Constant heavy lifting (50-75 lbs.), constant climbing and descending ladders with the material.
· Physical requirements: requires standing, walking, time at desk, reaching, climbing, stooping up to 90% of timed; lifting (maximum of 50- 75 lbs.)
- Work schedule:
- 20-28 regular hours per week
- Some variable hours
- Weekend work not required (except inventory Sunday, if needed)
- Work clothes: closed toe shoes, business casual
Salary and Benefits:
- Hourly rate range $18.94/hour to $26.51/per hour, depending on qualifications
