Adventure Dinner is rewriting the script for what it means to be a 21st century chef, starting with a sustainable work lifestyle and emotionally intelligent leadership.The Sous Chef position includes a mix of daytime work and evening event execution and offers schedule flexibility: we work a Tuesday through Saturday schedule and each work 2 events a week.

About The Role
The Sous Chef role requires experience in farm-to-table cuisine, open-fire cooking, managing diverse teammates, collaborative menu development, and innovative leadership. Each day holds creativity and collaboration as we work together to put on over 100 events a year.

How We Cook
Adventure Dinner combines seasonally-driven fare with creative themes and concepts. We work directly with VT farms to source the highest quality meats, fresh produce, and unique ingredients that we transform into refined and approachable dishes and drinks. To reflect this approach, we seek a sous chef who has experience in a variety of different cuisines and techniques, including cooking over live fire.
Must haves:
- Volume cooking production experience
- Experience on a variety of stations in a restaurant setting
- Passion for hospitality, food, and beverage
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for a full shift
- Ability to take direction and receive constructive feedback
- Ability to work independently and also as part of a dynamic team
- Ability to maintain composure while under pressure
- Ability to communicate your feelings clearly
- Eagerness to jump into new experiences
- Leadership skills for effective kitchen teams
- Ability to execute multi-course meals outside of a traditional kitchen setting
- Tuesday - Saturday work schedule
