Job Summary:
The Sous Chef is responsible for helping manage food operations, quality and consistency. This is a working Chef position for an upscale 25 seat restaurant with a bar/ lounge within a 25 room hotel that plans to expand on-premise catering services. Reports to the Executive Chef.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities:
- Assists in leading all kitchen responsibilities and manage the staff to success on daily, weekly, monthly and annual action plans relative to property business plan and financial goals.
- Closely monitor purchasing, inventories and scheduling
- Ensure compliance with brand standard operating procedures and policies.
- Monitor food quality, operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, standards compliance and financial measurements.
- Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training associates
Experience
A formal education is not required. Farm to table and scratch kitchen experience will be required.
