Worship Director

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Adventure Life Church (ALC) is in search of a person who loves God and leading His people in worship to fill the role of Worship Director and lead our worship ministry. This candidate should have a deep, personal connection with Christ and embody the traits and abilities that match our mission, vision, and values.

ALC offers a non-denominational worship experience grounded in Christian traditions. ALC offers a contemporary worship service at 10:00 am on Sunday mornings. The church is currently welcoming around 100-150 in total Sunday morning attendance.

Qualifications:

- Spirit-led person who Is called to use their God-given vocal and other musical talents for worship leadership

- Vocal ability and Strong competency in keys and/or guitar

- Excellent communication and leadership skills in working with groups across all ages

- Outgoing, engaging, and people-oriented personality

- Is creative and a visionary who stays current with trends in worship music and technology

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and staff to design worship services that are engaging and aligned with our vision

- Lead our church weekly in a worship experience through song, prayer, pastoral moments, and creative elements to help draw people close to Jesus

- Coordinating schedules, providing resources, recruiting, and offering training and development for musicians and worship leaders on the team, ensuring they are equipped to serve the church

- Oversee all production aspects of the ministry

- Be a team player with good energy, positive attitude and flexibility

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and staff to design worship services that are engaging and aligned with our vision

● Coordinating schedules, providing resources, recruiting, and offering training and development for musicians and worship leaders on the team, ensuring they are equipped to serve the church (includes building a pipeline for potential worship team members in the youth ministry)

● Build strong relationships with volunteers on the worship team and members of the church

● Oversee the production ministry, including volunteers and equipment

● Oversee the livestream on a weekly basis - continue to make improvements to push for excellence

● Be a team player willing to step in and help serve when needed or requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

● Is called to use their gifts to lead worship and pastoral ministry

● Excellent communication and leadership skills across all age groups

● Outgoing, engaging, and people-oriented personality

● Excellent spiritual and organizational leadership skills

● Is creative and a visionary, who stays current with trends in worship music and the use of technology to enhance worship

● Vocal ability and Strong competency in keys and/or guitar

● Strong skill set in use of technology or willingness to learn (Planning Center, iMovie, Live Streaming – OBS, Pro-Presenter, Soundstripe)

● Has a strong desire and heart to build relationships, primarily with the worship team.

● Can support the Mission, Vision and Values of ALC

● Preferred candidates would have 1-3 years of relative experience leading worship

● Education: A bachelor's degree is preferred, though not required

Reports to: Lead Pastor and Leadership Team

Employment Type: Part-Time. Minimum 25 hours per week, but for the right person with the right gifts, interests and experience who can do a variety of things in support of the church’s various ministries, additional hours may be available (25-35 hours per week).
