Summary of Job

The role of the Short Term Missions Advisor is to guide churches (primarily youth groups) in their journey of preparation to take a mission trip. Relationship management involves guiding churches through the journey of making a transaction, building a relationship and equipping them to become transformational in their approach to missions.

There are three major pieces to this role:

  1. Sales and Mobilization: Responding to interest and ensuring a quality “fit” between the group and the ministry opportunity.

  2. Setup: Encouraging our relationship with ministry partners, ensuring ministry schedules align with the ministry’s objectives, managing trip cost and managing related logistics (food, lodging and transportation).

  3. Customer Service: Each church usually engages with Adventures first by applying to go on a mission trip. It’s your job to develop this relationship by encouraging them, anticipating their needs, ensuring quality and frequent communication, and the like. We want them to make a decision to go on a trip with Adventures each year! We also want to see them become a missional church focused on serving others locally and globally.
