Compliance Director - Affordable Housing
Join a leading firm in the Affordable Housing sector as a Compliance Director, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our extensive portfolio of over 300 HUD and LIHTC properties adheres to all regulatory requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee compliance efforts, develop key policies, and guide internal teams in a fulfilling and impactful work environment. We are looking for candidates with a robust background in affordable housing, regulatory compliance, and management experience.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead compliance initiatives for Section 8 and LIHTC regulations across multiple properties, ensuring alignment with HUD standards.
- Create and implement effective policies and procedures consistent with HUD regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure timely submission of Annual Owners Certifications to relevant monitoring agencies.
- Direct audits and provide robust support for property desk audits.
- Serve as the primary liaison for audits and inquiries from investors, syndicators, and regulatory agencies.
- Review tenant recertifications and conduct random in-house audits to validate compliance.
- Support lease-up processes by providing expert guidance and oversight.
- Manage and prepare HAP rent increases, contract renewals, and re-certifications effectively.
- Lead and mentor a team of Compliance Managers and Compliance Specialists.
- Offer compliance guidance to other departments as needed.
Qualifications :
Compensation : $140,000 - $160,000, along with comprehensive health benefits, a 401k plan, and additional valuable perks.
The stated salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate for base compensation at the time of posting and does not reflect the complete compensation package, which may also encompass benefits, equity, and other non-cash incentives.
