Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 50 law firm, is seeking a highly-skilled Energy Regulatory Attorney to join its Energy Practice Group as a counsel-level attorney . This is an exciting opportunity to advise clients on a wide range of federal and state energy regulatory matters, with a focus on renewable energy sectors such as solar, wind, storage, and emerging energy transition technologies, including hydrogen, carbon, electric vehicles, and microgrids.
Candidate Profile :
- JD from an ABA-approved law school with a strong academic record.
- Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction .
- 8 years of substantive experience advising clients on federal and state energy regulatory matters , particularly in renewable energy and energy transition sectors .
- Experience with oil & gas regulatory matters is a plus .
- Strong backgroundrepresenting and advising developers, sponsors, lenders, cash equity, tax equity, and other investors on regulatory aspects of complex development and financing transactions .
- Experience negotiating and reviewing power purchase agreements , interconnection agreements , shared facility agreements , and other key project documents .
- Familiarity with equity and debt financing structures , mergers and acquisitions , and regulatory compliance issues .
- Strong client relationship management, project oversight, and senior review capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, a team-oriented approach, and a strong work ethic.

California Applicants : Pursuant to the CA Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act, the expected salary range for this position is between $350,000 - $475,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
Washington DC Applicants : Pursuant to the Washington DC Pay Transparency Law, the expected salary range for this Washington DC based position is between $350,000 - $475,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
