Receptionist – Fond du Lac
ADVOCAP’s Shared Services Department is accepting applications for a part time Receptionist to work two days a week! This position has two primary functions: (1) Greet the public in a timely, courteous, non-judgmental manner and direct them to individuals within the Agency that they seek or who can address their concern; (2) Provide accurate and timely clerical support services for staff and departments as directed.
Responsibilities Include:
- This position will primarily be scheduled to work two days each week, 9.25 hours per day, 1st shift; and other times M – F as needed
- Project the desired image of the Agency to the public and provide individuals and groups with access to staff and services
- Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate persons or departments
- Unlock/lock the main office doors for business hours
- Possess the ability to maintain calm and/or can diffuse anger or a challenging situation with a diverse group of clientele
- Perform work for other departments/staff as needed
- Sort incoming mail and distribute accordingly, register checks or cash received accurately, process outgoing mail
Job Requirements:
- A high school degree or GED is preferred. 12 – 18 months of previous related work experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required to meet job standards
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record required
- Acceptable drug screen and comprehensive background check required
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and data entry skills are essential
- Reliable attendance and a professional work ethic
- Maintain highest level of confidentiality with information obtained
- Possess an understanding of poverty and the ability to be non-judgmental with those served
Salary and Benefits:
This part-time position will work about 20 hours per week. The starting hourly rate for this position is $16.42, based on qualifications. This part-time position will have access to vacation, sick and holiday pay, and our employer contribution 401k.
