The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients upon arrival, relaying incoming telephone calls to the appropriate person, and performing assigned administrative responsibilities. Handle medical and insurance records, as well as billing and other related duties as assigned. Manage patient communications and staff calendars. Convey a positive and professional image of the Care Center to the public.

Essential Functions:
- Monitoring the phone system by answering incoming telephone calls, checking faxes and voicemails.
- Responding to all emails in a professional and timely manner, specifically P2P's.
- Transfers calls to the appropriate person and writes messages in accordance with approved telephone procedures.
- Addressing initial billing and accounting inquires made by patients by checking the patient's account.
- Adhering to OSHA guidelines and maintaining sterilization for the office.
- Greeting patients in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner.
- Check in patients, verify all pertinent information requested by the Provider and update necessary information in the computer system and on patient forms.
- Ensure the clinic's front desk area is presentable and organized.
- Adhering to the company's provider office dress code, consisting of business casual attire.
- Must be capable of using office equipment such as but not limited to: phones, computers, mouse, keyboard, printer, iPad, and other electronics.
- Check Eligibilty for all patients with proper documentation scanned into the patient's chart prior to their visit.
- Complete chart prep efficiently prior to patient appointments.
- Schedule patient appointments.
- Collect and post co-pays and remind patients of past due balances on the day of office visit.
- Ensure patients check out as they leave the office and follow check-out procedures.
- Confirm patient appointments.
- Document and notify Doctor when a patient cancels an appointment.
- Type correspondence and office memos as directed.
- Transcribe information regarding patient visits for medical reports.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
