Ultrasound Technologist Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health in West Dundee, Illinois.
Job Summary:
This is an ongoing position requiring 20 hours of work per week, with flexible shifts. The ideal candidate will be able to perform general, OB/GYNE, and vascular ultrasound exams with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide variety of general, OB/GYNE, vascular, and small parts ultrasound procedures in compliance with ultrasound protocol.
- Evaluate patient history and set the correct parameters on equipment to obtain images for analysis and interpretation by radiologists.
- Ensure a secure and safe patient and work environment.
- Provide technical support for smooth and efficient operation of the Ultrasound Department.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest ultrasound developments and maintain required Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Ultrasound.
- Registered in Abdomen or OB within one year of hire.
- RVT registry is a plus.
- CPR Certification.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.
