Position
The successful candidate will quickly assume a leadership role and successfully devise, implement, and direct regional sales strategies to increase sales & market share consistent with the long-range business plans that support the company’s strategic initiatives. The individual will have developed a track record in building and retaining a profitable customer base. A competency in Regional Management, strategic thinking and solutions driven sales techniques are required. Successful candidate must have a strong enthusiasm for the business and must transmit this enthusiasm and high energy to customers and corporate personnel.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for selling new specialty vehicle products and services within the 13-state northeast territory of WA, OR, CA, AZ, NM, NV, UT, ID, WY, MT, CO, AK, HI
- Plans, develops, and implements territory growth strategy by identifying prospects and working them through the sales cycle.
- Coordinates activities with customers such as order intake and build details, bid openings, quotes, inspections.
- Promotes organization in industry and market area.
- Maintains product knowledge and educates customers and prospects on products and services.
- Analyzes bid specifications and returns customer requests for quote in a timely manner.
- Communicates with plant management to support and ensure timely delivery of quality products and services.
- Reside within the thirteen-state territory; travel to customer sites is up to 75%.
- Travel to call on existing and prospective customers to educate, perform product training, build relationships and close sales.
- Maintain relationships with customers and forecast delivery dates based on production schedules. Resolve any customer problems.
- Demonstrate high-level selling and presentation skills.
- Outside the box creative thinking to promote and grow the assigned territory
