Representing a leader in the civil engineering/design-build industry, we are seeking a skilled Civil Drafter to convert the designs of our civil engineers into detailed technical drawings.
- The duties of a Civil Drafter include collecting data, creating blueprints using CAD software, and assisting engineers with complex drafting work.
- Successful candidates should have a firm grasp of mathematics, a keen eye for detail, and excellent technical drawing skills.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and revising detailed drawings and topographical maps.
- Using CAD software to create blueprints and schematics.
- Performing topography profiles.
- Performing cuts and fills on 3D programs.
- Assisting the engineering team in design and layout of buildings and structures.
- Checking and reviewing drawings for accuracy and compliance with established technical standards and specifications.
- Collaborating with engineers, architects, and contractors on the project needs.
- Collecting and analyzing data for the preparation of drawings.
- Ensuring final designs are compliant with building regulations.
- Maintaining and updating technical databases and files.
- Providing assistance in estimating costs and material requirements for projects.
