Our client is currently seeking a Civil Engineering Designer/Senior CAD Technician for their office, located in Winter Park, to assist with their continued project workload. This role provides an opportunity to work in a small office with ties to the resources and projects as well as benefits of a much larger firm.
Responsibilities:
• Duties include design and drafting for the preparation of site civil engineering drawings for subdivision, industrial, and commercial projects
• Design and analyze engineering systems related to land development and utilities
• Development and delivery of calculations for site grading, stormwater management system design, establishment of water and wastewater, utilities and roadway requirements for translation into construction drawing plans
• Maintain client communications and build client relations
• Gain experience relevant to obtaining a Professional Engineer license (if applicable)
Qualifications:
• Understanding of land development planning is considered a requirement
• Proficiency with AutoCAD for design purposes
• Civil 3D experience is preferred
• Working knowledge of stormwater analysis and design is an asset
• Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience working in a project engineering environment
• Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills
• Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Adapt well to continual change in a dynamic environment
• Task oriented with excellent interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills
