ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, coordinate, and implement a Bulk Electric System compliance program to comply with NERC reliability requirements.
- Develop, implement, and review current policies and practices issued by FERC, NERC, Regional Entity, and other regulatory agencies.
- Implement training program to meet NERC certification requirements.
- Improve and enhance workflows to increase efficiency within operations.
- Collaborate in the development of operations training using a systematic approach.
- Troubleshoot and assist operations with SCADA system as required.
- Build, operate, and maintain SCADA system as directed, including training simulator.
- Collaborate in the SCADA and RTU commissioning of transmission assets.
- Advise and update internal and external stakeholders.
- This position will act as a relief operator for AECC TOC as needed and provides real-time, monitoring and control decisions for the 24x7 operation of the AECC transmission system.
- Ensures transmission system is operated consistent with NERC Reliability Standards.
- Manages and resolves transmission issues on the system, including the shedding of firm load.
- Operate SCADA control system to ensure reliability of member loads.
- Performs other duties of Operator – TOC role as needed.
