What You'll Do Here
Candidate will lead a team of United Electrical and Instrumentation and Controls engineers and designers, providing continuous, on-site support for a nuclear plant in the Detroit / Chicago / Toledo area. Work entails supervisory oversight and approval of Engineering Change Packages consisting of :
- Equipment specifications, data sheets, calculations, and analysis as required to support the design and configuration control process.
- Equipment specifications include transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS / DC, communication systems, digital and process instrumentation and controls system components.
- Calculations include electrical studies including short circuit, voltage drop, coordination and arc flash studies using OTI-ETAP software.
- Electrical / I&C design documents including single line diagrams and panel schedules, schematic and wiring diagrams, electrical physical and raceway drawings, lighting and grounding plans, and cable schedules.
- Supervisory responsibilities include review of proposals, schedules and budgets; monitoring and reporting budget and schedule performance; and providing technical leadership to engineers and designers for the Electrical / I&C discipline.
- Candidate will support multiple projects and will coordinate activities with clients, contractors, vendors and other members of the project teams.
