What You'll Do:
As a Direct Care Supervisor, you will:
- Lead & Supervise - Manage and mentor a team of Direct Support Professionals, ensuring high-quality care and support.
- Advocate for Clients - Work closely with individuals and their families to develop personalized service plans and coordinate essential care.
- Oversee Intake & Admissions - Guide individuals and families through the intake and admissions process, ensuring a smooth transition into services.
- Ensure Compliance & Quality Care - Maintain accurate client records, oversee Medicaid eligibility, and ensure all services meet regulatory standards.
- Be a Team Player - Collaborate with multiple departments (billing, nursing, mental health, and workshops) to ensure seamless support.
- Monitor Residential Homes - Ensure AEDD-owned homes are properly maintained, safe, and meet quality standards through both scheduled and unannounced visits.
- Coordinate Services - Work with case management agencies and participate in multi-agency team meetings to ensure continuous care and necessary program updates.
- Drive Positive Change - Play a key role in hiring and training staff, promoting professional growth, and enhancing service delivery.
What We're Looking For:
We want someone who is compassionate, organized, and a strong leader. The ideal candidate will have:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field OR
- Two years of advanced education in human services plus two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities OR
- Four years of experience as a case manager in a related field in place of education.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to maintain detailed documentation and comply with state and federal regulations.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Arkansas driver's license & auto liability insurance (Required).
Additional Job Details:
- Supervisory Role - Directly supervise DSPs, handle hiring, training, and performance management.
- Travel - Primarily local during the business day, with occasional out-of-area and overnight travel required.
- Safety Sensitive Position - This role involves operating a vehicle, and employees must adhere to all safety and substance policies.
- Work Environment - Mix of office, home visits, and community settings with moderate noise levels.
