As part of the Efficiency Team, the Software Development Efficiency Analyst will work collaboratively with engineers to streamline development processes, optimize software performance, and ensure high-quality delivery. This role requires candidates who are experienced in systems thinking and have a strong foundation in software development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying inefficiencies, creating solutions to improve workflows, and developing tools that support the software development lifecycle. Familiarity with tools development and data pipeline management will be highly beneficial in supporting the team's efforts to continuously improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the Efficiency Team by analyzing and optimizing software development processes.
- Use systems thinking to identify inefficiencies and design solutions to improve workflows.
- Develop and implement tools that enhance software development and testing processes.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance system integration, performance, and overall development efficiency.
- Support the creation and optimization of data pipelines to improve data processing workflows.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and suggest improvements to further streamline development efforts.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with broader organizational goals.
- Support project design reviews (PDR, CDR)
- Participate in regular team meetings to provide status and coordinate with teammates
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Strong systems thinking skills with the ability to analyze and optimize complex processes.
- Proven software development experience, including familiarity with development practices and tools.
- Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve software workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have US Citizenship.
- Motivated self-starter willing to take initiative.
- Ability to attain and maintain respect and confidence of the customer and contract personnel. A close, cooperative customer interface is essential.
- Mature, professional judgment in establishing objectives, milestones and priorities.
- Reliable and dependable work habits and dedication to get the job done.
DESIRED:
- Experience with tools development to support software engineering teams.
- Familiarity with data pipeline development and optimization.
- Background in software architecture, design patterns, and best practices for optimization.
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Knowledge of performance monitoring and analysis tools to track development efficiency.
- Experience working on government contracts.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
