DoD SkillBridge IT Servicemember Intern

Overview

Please note that this internship opportunity is only available to currently serving military members who are projected to separate. Aegis Aerospace is seeking motivated and talented military servicemembers with a background in information technology, transitioning from active-duty military service to join our team as a DoD SkillBridge intern. Interns will need to be onsite in Houston, Texas. This program provides transitioning service members with valuable industry experience and skills to facilitate a successful transition from military service to civilian employment. As an intern at Aegis Aerospace, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and gain hands-on experience in various areas of our organization.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
Assist in conducting research, data analysis, and report preparation.
Participate in design and development activities, contributing to the creation of cutting-edge aerospace and defense technologies.
Support the implementation and testing of software systems and hardware components.
Aid in the preparation of technical documentation and presentations.
Follow established quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned to support the objectives of the internship program.

Qualifications

Must be a military service member within 365-180 days of transition / separation.

Must have in an IT related MOS / AFSC and / or pursuing higher education in an IT focused discipline.

Meet all eligibility criteria for the DoD SkillBridge program.

Strong interest in aerospace and defense industries.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).

Familiarity with engineering principles and technical concepts is preferred.

U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.
