Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist
Position Overview: As an Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting the account receivable function, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have experience in business-to-business collections and a strong attention to detail. In addition, you will assist in managing all components of the accounts payable system in an accurate and timely manner using established processes and internal control procedures.
Compensation:
$45,000.00 based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and send out invoices to customers.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and conduct collections calls.
- Process customer payments. Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payment, or other irregularities.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and collection efforts.
- Work closely with sales and customer service teams to resolve customer issues.
- Prepare aging reports and provide updates to management on accounts receivable status.
- Set up new vendors including obtaining a W-9 prior to issuing a payment.
- Review for accuracy and record vendor bills in accounting system, along with its supporting documentation.
- Collect appropriate approvals per established policies.
- Process check runs according to payment terms.
- Maintain knowledge of approved vendors and accounting policies to ensure cash controls and avoid payment of unauthorized invoices.
- Research discrepancies of payables data to ensure accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing along with purchase order and subcontract maintenance.

Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, or related field preferred
- 2 years of experience in accounting role, preferably in a business-to-business environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite)
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
