Aegis is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our clients organization in Roselle, IL. This role is a 6 month contract to hire position. You are offered benefits and PTO through Aegis. The ideal candidate has the following :
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field is preferred. However, candidates without a degree who demonstrate strong experience may also be considered.
- 5 years in procurement, purchasing, or a buyer role is ideal, but candidates with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience should also be considered.
- Experience in manufacturing and inventory control is essential, with additional experience in an OEM environment being a significant advantage.
- Experience buying parts for OEM or manufacturing company.
- Proven ability to create, monitor, and expedite purchase orders for projects, ensuring on-time delivery and budget alignment.
- Strong vendor and supplier management skills, including building relationships and negotiating terms to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Proficiency with ERP systems is essential; experience with Oracle NetSuite is a significant plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel, for effective communication and data management.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
