Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a manufacturing client located Rock Hill, SC who is looking to add a Contract Admin to their team. This candidate should be comfortable working as an individual rather than on a team. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Contract Administrator with a paralegal background to join our team in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contract law, legal compliance, and the specific requirements of the manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, drafting, reviewing, and maintaining contracts, ensuring that all legal documentation is compliant, accurate, and aligned with company goals and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to procurement, supply chain, equipment, and service agreements.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date contract files and records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assist in contract negotiations by preparing and reviewing terms, conditions, and compliance requirements.
- Support the legal team in managing the full lifecycle of contracts, from inception through to execution and termination.
Legal Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure contracts comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including those specific to the manufacturing industry (e.g., OSHA, environmental laws, export regulations).
- Conduct legal research to stay updated on changes to laws and regulations affecting manufacturing operations.
- Identify potential legal risks and work with internal stakeholders to mitigate those risks in contractual agreements.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Liaise with various departments (e.g., procurement, sales, operations, finance) to ensure contracts align with operational and business needs.
- Provide legal guidance and advice on contract-related matters to internal teams.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel as needed for complex contract issues or disputes.
Document Drafting and Review:
- Prepare amendments, addendums, and other legal documents related to contracts.
- Review contracts and agreements for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with internal policies.
- Identify discrepancies or problematic clauses in contracts and work to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Dispute Resolution:
- Assist in resolving contract disputes, including mediation or negotiation, in collaboration with the legal department.
- Ensure that contract deliverables are met and monitor performance and compliance throughout the life of the agreement.
Qualifications
Education:
- Paralegal certification or equivalent legal education required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in contract administration, with a focus on manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial sectors.
- Prior experience in a paralegal role, with knowledge of legal terminology and practices related to contract law.
- Familiarity with contract management software and document management systems.

- Strong understanding of contract law, risk management, and the legal frameworks applicable to the manufacturing industry.
