What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Quality & EHS position at Aegis Worldwide?
Aegis is seeking a Director of Quality and EHS to join our clients organization in Des Plaines, IL. This is a direct hire opportunity! The ideal candidate has the following experience:
- 10 years of experience working in a Manager or Director of quality position.
- At least 5 years of experience being a director.
- 5 years of experience in leadership- managing a team of managers. (4 direct reports)
- Bachelor’s degree- business, operations, quality system, engineering.
- Industry experience: falls under fixtures manufacturing- they have a catalogue of products, so they are engineering anything to specification and most products have add on assemblies or parts. Metals, finished goods, injection molding.
- ISO 9001 experience
- Experience with auditing
- QMS experience
- Experience with CI projects, problem solving, corrective actions, preventative solutions- very quality focused activities.
- Safety experience
- Able to work functionally across three locations & travel to those sites. (Wisconsin and Indiana)
- Intangibles:
- Team players /team first mentality
- Detailed oriented
- Willing to learn and implement new ideas.
- Computer literacy- able to use Teams, Outlook, Excel (basic)
- Masters Degree- anything above the bachelor’s they got to work toward their experience.
- OSHA 30-hour safety certification.
- Lean manufacturing, black belt- six sigma.
- Experience working for a European parent organization.
