We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Behavioral Outreach Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a robust network of professionals, organizations, and resources within the behavioral health field. Your primary objective will be to facilitate connections, foster collaboration, and promote knowledge sharing to enhance the delivery of behavioral health services and support our mission of improving mental health outcomes in our community.
Responsibilities of a Behavioral Outreach Coordinator may include:
- Event Planning: Organizing networking events, conferences, workshops, and seminars focused on behavioral health topics to facilitate connections and collaboration among professionals in the field.
- Community Outreach: Building relationships with stakeholders including mental health professionals, researchers, policymakers, community leaders, and advocacy groups to expand the network and promote collaboration.
- Resource Sharing: Curating and disseminating resources such as research findings, best practices, toolkits, and funding opportunities to support the work of individuals and organizations in the behavioral health sector.
- Online Networking: Managing online platforms such as social media groups, forums, and professional networks dedicated to behavioral health to facilitate networking, discussion, and information exchange.
- Partnership Development: Identifying potential partners and opportunities for collaboration with organizations in related fields such as healthcare, social services, education, and criminal justice to address complex behavioral health issues.
- Training and Capacity Building: Organizing training sessions, webinars, and skill-building workshops to enhance the capacity of professionals working in behavioral health and related fields.
- Advocacy: Advocating for policies and initiatives that support the advancement of behavioral health services, access to care, and destigmatization of mental illness.
- Evaluation: Assessing the impact and effectiveness of networking initiatives and activities through data collection, analysis, and feedback from participants.
Requirements for a Behavioral Networking Coordinator position may include:
- Education: A bachelor's degree in psychology, public health, social work, or a related field. (Preferred)
- Experience: Previous experience in event planning, community outreach, networking, or related roles within the behavioral health field. Ability to locate client referrals for AEIC supports and services.
- Networking Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and engage with individuals and groups.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Behavioral Health: Understanding of behavioral health issues, treatment modalities, and the broader healthcare landscape.
- Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with online networking platforms, social media, and communication tools used for organizing events and facilitating virtual networking.
- Creativity and Innovation: Ability to think creatively and develop innovative strategies for networking and collaboration within the behavioral health field.
- Knowledge of Texas healthcare and social service systems, including Medicaid and CHIP, is preferred.
- Must undergo a background check, TB Skin Test, Drug Testing, and CPR/First Aid training.
- Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation. (required)
Schedule:
1. Self-Pace specialized hours
2. Weekends as needed
Position Type: Contract Location: Dallas/Fort Worth Area Hours: Based on Referral Volume and Staff Schedule Compensation: Tiered Based Commission.
This is a contract position meaning 1099, with a varying contract length. Full-time, part-time and PRN positions are available. AEIC Case Management LLC does not offer mileage reimbursement.
