Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Contract template creation and continuous improvement to ensure that contracting best practices are implemented in Procurement contracts, contract processes and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.
- Act as functional subject matter expert and oversight for the CLM system, Agiloft, including implementing and training on new functionality, informing, and executing on the roadmap for future enhancements and capabilities. Developing new clauses to be added to the clause library, as needed.
- Develop and implement an internal audit process to determine contract quality and compliance to Procurement policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain planning documentation such as business cases as well as business, communication, continuity and change management plans.
- Identify, analyze, and clarify complex problems related to contracts and the contracting process and lead in the development and implementation of remediations to ensure a timely and effective resolution; leverage all available data sources, both internal and external to the organization and, acting as consultant, engage others in problem-solving.
- Provide advanced support by performing analysis of contracting systems and processes and develop recommendations for improvements in accordance with established controls. Facilitate project activities to ensure all objectives are met.
- Prepare and deliver presentations concerning specific contract related initiatives as necessary to senior management. Facilitate meetings so they have a clear purpose with a focus on accomplishing specific objectives.
- Act as a subject matter expert on contracts and the contracting process and train team members as needed on key activities to ensure all work is performed in accordance with the policies, processes, and regulations of the company.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, finance, supply chain, or other related field is required;
Experience:
7 years of relevant work experience in contract management, paralegal work, or supply chain experience is required. Experience in the utility, manufacturing, or construction industry preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Deep understanding of contract design and structure, including terms, language, templates, performance criteria, and other components.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills desired
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) desired with an ability to communicate with business partners, stakeholders, and suppliers
- Ability to be persuasive and build credibility desired
