What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator 2 position at Aero Engineering & Manufacturing?
Position Overview:
Aero Engineering & Manufacturing is seeking an Estimator to support our Aerospace and Defense manufacturing programs for new and out-of-production parts. This entry level position is a customer service-oriented position that will work in tandem with sales, production and quality team members to ensure timely and accurate price and delivery estimates.
Responsibilities:
· Daily review of customer RFQs from numerous sources including OEMs, distributors, Government Entities and sales websites (i.e., ILS, etc.)
· Understand and follow customer driven rules and requirements for quoting various parts for military aircraft.
· Provide quotations in a timely manner for RFQs through the use of the ERP system, customer portals / spreadsheets and sales websites
· Review parts lists, drawings, product standards and other data to determine manufacturing requirements including material, labor, outside processing and tooling.
· Obtain quotes from internal and external sources needed to provide customer quotations
· Ability to quote assemblies as well as component pricing.
· Utilize cost models and related estimating tools supporting the quotation of new or out of production products
· Utilize sales and quote history to support current quote requirements
· Provide administrative support to sales and estimating departments
· Perform other tasks or projects as required
Qualifications:
· 2-4 years of Estimating experience, preferably in Aerospace
· Working knowledge with Quantum ERP or other ERP system
· Strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel and Word)
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to interpret engineering drawings and product specifications, specifically related to the Aerospace industry
· Ability to work effectively both independently as well as in a team based, collaborative environment
· Ability to work in a time efficient manner to meet internal and customer driven deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
