Collections Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collection Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and a solid understanding of financial processes. As a Collection Agent, you will be responsible for managing accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining positive relationships with clients while adhering to company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accounts by contacting members regarding outstanding debts.
• Utilize financial software to track payments, account status, and collection efforts.
• Conduct account analysis to identify trends in payment behavior and develop strategies for improvement.
• Handle collections and billing inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing member concerns and inquiries promptly.
• Document all interactions with members in accordance with company policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a collections or financial environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed account analysis.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on maintaining positive member relationships.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity and professionalism when dealing with sensitive financial information.
